Description du poste

Would you like to lead and grow Black & White Engineering’s presence in France? As an established engineering leader, either from an electrical or mechanical design background, you will play a key role in shaping the future of our Paris office.

Your top priority will be to scale Black & White’s presence in France. You’ll own market growth, client relationships and team development, partnering closely with our European leadership and global network to deliver a profitable, sustainable business while enhancing Black & White Engineering’s reputation in one of Europe’s fastest-growing data centre markets.

What’s in it for you?
Continue the growth of a prosperous regional office

You will develop and execute the French growth strategy, shaping the culture and long-term success of the office from the ground up. This is your chance to set the strategy, put your stamp on France’s data centre design market and represent Black & White Engineering across the market by strengthening our reputation and presence.

Real ownership & influence

Take end-to-end accountability for business performance, project delivery and quality, driving growth, profitability and resource planning with direct visibility to the Area Director – Europe. You will lead major bids and strategic opportunities, partner with European leadership to shape strategy, and make high-impact decisions with real autonomy.

Scale a high‑performing team

Recruit, mentor and grow a multidisciplinary engineering team across MEP, project delivery and support functions, aligned to Black & White’s global standards. Aligned to Black & White’s global standards, you will foster a culture of collaboration, quality and accountability, support succession planning, and create an environment where individuals and teams can thrive.

Deliver mission‑critical projects

Lead complex, mission-critical programmes across critical buildings and infrastructure, collaborating with our One Global Team through multi-timezone working, BIM-led coordination and best practice QA. This is an opportunity to drive technical excellence and innovation, and influence best practice across some of the sector’s most demanding programmes.

Clear pathway to senior regional leadership; lead proposal teams, represent Black & White in France’s industry forums, and broaden your remit as the office scales, building the credentials to shape future direction.

Global reach, local impact

Access the expertise and backing of a multi award‑winning, 1,300+‑strong consultancy while building deep, lasting relationships across France’s client and partner ecosystem.

Join a business built on Accountability, Integrity, Simplicity, Supportive, Quality—working alongside people who lead authentically, collaborate honestly and value continuous improvement.

Flexibility & mobility

This role offers hybrid working, travel across Europe when needed, and have the opportunity to contribute to cross-regional initiatives that shape the wider business.

What we are looking for
  • Degree (BSc/BEng) in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Significant building services design experience—ideally including data centres with strong technical leadership and project delivery credentials.
  • Chartered Engineer (or working towards) and membership of IET/CIBSE or equivalent (preferred).
  • Proven ability to lead multi‑disciplinary teams, manage virtual design delivery, and build trusted client relationships
  • Commercial acumen across P&L, contracts and fee management, plus sound knowledge of health & safety and applicable local/IEC/BS codes and standards.

You will also join a community focused on learning and development, with regular knowledge sharing sessions and investment in accredited professional courses. You can set the pace for your own development, and whatever path you choose, you will receive the right support.
