Jobgether SRL seeks an Applied ML Engineer in Romania to bridge research and production. You will reproduce ML research methods, design evaluation datasets, and build production-grade tooling for repeatable experiments and trustworthy results.

You will work across model internals, inference infra, backend systems, and user-facing dashboards, turning research ideas into measurable products with strong emphasis on reproducibility, testing, and documentation.

Qualifications

• Strong Python engineering skills with PyTorch and HF Transformers.
• Solid ML evaluation knowledge: datasets, metrics, calibration, uncertainty.
• Read and implement ML research from first principles, beyond notebooks.
• Software engineering beyond notebooks: APIs, databases, testing, deployment.
• Familiarity with open-weight models and LLM inference systems.

Responsabilités

• Reproduce and evaluate ML research methods using open-weight models.
• Design evaluation datasets, probes, baselines, and calibration tests.
• Work with model weights, logits, hidden states, and inference infra as needed.
• Build evaluation infrastructure: runners, judges, persistence, orchestration, reporting.
• Translate research workflows into product experiences and dashboards.
• Investigate verification methods under fine-tuning, merging, quantization, distillation.
• Create controlled experiments distinguishing signal from artifacts.
• Produce technical reports separating evidence from interpretation.
• Deliver production-grade systems with APIs, databases, observability, tests, docs.
• Collaborate across research, experimentation, engineering, and product.
