Ethos Automation seeks an automation engineer with a Mechanical/Electrical/Mechatronics background to design and propose turnkey automated solutions. You will review client inquiries, work with Sales on budgets, and prepare cell layouts and timelines for customer proposals.

The role requires 3+ years in automation engineering, proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks, and strong presentation skills. Travel up to 30% is expected as projects vary in scope.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics engineering or equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience in an automation engineering environment.
• Proficient with AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
• Proficient with MS Office.
• Strong technical presentation skills.
• Ability to adapt to a dynamic environment.

Responsabilités

• Review inquiries from clients and develop process solutions tailored to the application.
• Work with Sales to provide budgetary proposals through internal design tools and costing forms.
• Prepare cell layout drawings and cycle time charts for proposals.
• Participate in RFQ reviews on-site or in-house.
• Support new business and product development with project management assistance and site assessments.
• Document development processes and version histories.
• Coordinate with departments to estimate labor and material costs to meet customer requirements.
• Travel up to 30% may be required.

Job Description

• Review inquiries from clients and develop process solutions tailored to the application.
• Work with the Sales team to provide budgetary proposals for clients through the completion of internal design tools, templates, and costing forms.
• Budget proposals include cost of labour, materials, purchased items, as well as a rough timeline and technical presentation for customer review.
• Prepare cell layout drawings, cycle time charts, and other process documents as required for proposals.
• Participate in customer RFQ review meetings, either on-site at the customer or in-house.
• Support new business and product development through additional activities such as project management support, site reviews/assessments, data collection and analysis.
• Documenting development processes, procedures, and application version histories.
• Liaise between the other departments for technical assistance in developing concepts and processes and aid in estimating labor and material costs to meet customer requirements.
• Expectation of travel up to 30% of time could be anticipated, however may be exceeded in exceptional circumstances to meet project needs.
• Support other departments during and after kickoff of projects.

Experience And Education

• Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics degree
• 3+ years of experience in an automation engineering environment
• Experience with AutoCAD and Solid Works
• Proficient with MS Office
• Strong technical presentation skills
• Ability to adapt to a dynamic environment
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to motivate teams to produce quality proposals within tight timeframes, with changing priorities

Wage

$40-$45/hr
