Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs using Spring Boot and tools like Restdocs or Springdoc.
• Ensure API security, scalability, and high availability.
• Implement unit and integration tests to ensure API reliability and performance.
• Optimize API performance and troubleshoot production issues.
• Maintain detailed technical documentation for API endpoints and usage.
• Work with containerization and deployment tools for smooth API delivery.

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 5 years of experience as an API developer
• Strong proficiency in Java and Spring.
• Experience with asynchronous programming and performance tuning in Java.
• Knowledge of OAuth2, JWT, and other authentication / authorization standards.
• Deep understanding of RESTful API principles, HTTP methods, and best practices.
• Experience working with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB).
• Familiarity with CI / CD pipelines, version control (Git), and automated testing.
• Knowledge of API documentation tools like OpenAPI / Swagger.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with GraphQL or gRPC.
• Familiarity with microservices architecture and service orchestration.
• Familiarity with API platforms, such as Kong.
• Understanding of event-driven systems using Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar tools.
• Basic knowledge of DevOps practices and infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Ansible).
