Career Strategies is seeking a skilled Apartment Maintenance Technician to join a reputable property management team in the Macon, GA area. This is a great opportunity for someone with a solid background in general maintenance who takes pride in providing excellent service to and maintaining property standards.

Schedule: Monday - Friday (8:30 AM - 5:30 PM)

Position Overview

The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for ensuring the physical aspects of the property are well-maintained and fully functional. This includes responding to service requests, performing routine maintenance tasks, and working closely with staff in a courteous and professional manner.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair issues related to:
  • Electrical systems
  • Plumbing and HVAC
  • Appliances
  • Flooring, stairs, railings, and fixtures
• Perform drywall repairs, painting, and touch-ups
• Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of common areas and grounds
• Prepare vacated units for new occupancy (make-ready tasks)
• Conduct regular inspections and respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner

Core Skills & Requirements

• Plumbing: Install/repair faucets, pipes, water heaters, garbage disposals, etc.
• Electrical: Repair/install outlets, switches, fixtures, ceiling fans, and more
• HVAC: Troubleshoot and service heating and A/C systems
• Drywall & Painting: Patch and paint walls, especially in turnover units
• Appliances: Install/repair refrigerators, ovens, washers/dryers, etc.
• Groundskeeping: Lawn care, tree trimming, light bulb replacement, debris removal
• Cleaning: Ensure common areas and vacated units are clean and ready

Qualifications

• Must have your own basic tools
• Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions
• Strong communication and problem‑solving skills
• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• Must pass a background check
