Job summary

The Estée Lauder Companies Inc. propose un stage/alternance d’Analytical Development Lab Engineer – H/F au sein de L’Atelier à Paris.

L’objectif est de développer et évaluer une méthodologie instrumentale de caractérisation des performances des fragrances. Étudiant en Master ou école d’ingénieurs avec spécialisation en chimie analytique ou instrumentation, vous concevrez le plan expérimental, réaliserez des expériences et analyserez les données en employant des méthodes statistiques.

Qualifications

• Étudiant(e) en dernière année d’un Master ou d’une grande école d’ingénieurs dans les domaines analytiques.
• Solides compétences en conception expérimentale, méthodes analytiques, traitement des données et statistiques.
• Une expérience dans le développement ou la validation de méthodes analytiques et une connaissance de l’évaluation sensorielle seraient un plus.
• Maîtrise du français et de l’anglais exigée.

Responsibilities

• Réaliser une revue de littérature et des approches existantes.
• Contribuer à la conception de l’étude et au plan expérimental.
• Réaliser des expériences et optimiser les conditions de mesure.
• Évaluer la répétabilité et la robustesse de la méthode.
• Traiter et analyser les données expérimentales avec des méthodes statistiques.
• Documenter les résultats et les conclusions.

Job Description

As part of the development of new approaches to characterizing fragrance performance, this internship aims to contribute to the development and evaluation of an instrumental measurement methodology.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct a review of the scientific literature and existing approaches.
• Contribute to the design of the study and the definition of the experimental plan.
• Conduct experiments and optimize measurement conditions.
• Evaluate the repeatability and robustness of the method.
• Process and analyze experimental data using appropriate statistical methods.
• Interpret the results and contribute to documenting the method and conclusions.

Profile

• A student in the final year of a Master’s program or engineering school specializing in analytical chemistry, instrumentation, physical chemistry, or a related field.
• Strong skills in experimental design, analytical methods, data processing, and statistics. Rigor, independence, and an interest in the development of measurement methods are particularly sought after.
• Experience in the development or validation of analytical methods, as well as knowledge of sensory evaluation, would be a plus.
• Fluent in French & English is mandatory.
