Compass Lexecon in Paris is seeking an Analyst for the Competition Practice to help clients understand how competition works in their industry. You will work with senior staff to relate issues to economic theory and support analysis with empirical evidence.

Analysts typically join after completing a Master’s in economics. The role involves collaboration with international teams, a hybrid Paris office setup, and exposure to high-profile cases before EC and national authorities.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in economics, ideally with focus on microeconomics, industrial organization and/or econometrics.
• Highly analytical.
• Excellent organizational skills with an ability to multi-task.
• Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and clients.
• Accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Stata and Excel skills desirable.
• Fluency in French and English required; other languages are a plus.

Responsabilités

• Analyze qualitative and quantitative client data to understand how competition works in their industry.
• Review literature and contribute to discussions about theory and empirical approach.
• Conduct empirical analysis using Excel and Stata.
• Draft reports summarising analysis.
• Participate in client meetings and conference calls.
