Compass Lexecon is seeking junior economist interns to contribute to competition policy cases before the European Commission, the General Court, and national authorities. Interns gain hands-on experience by working with senior staff, relating issues to theory, and supporting analysis with empirical evidence.

Interns typically join for 2 to 6 months during or after completing economics degrees. Applications close on 31st March 2027.

Qualifications

• Currently undertaking or recently completed Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. in economics.
• Focus on microeconomics, industrial organisation and/or econometrics is preferred.
• Fluency in French and English is required; other languages are a plus.

About the role

We pride ourselves on providing Interns with an opportunity to make a significant impact from day one. As an Intern you will gain extensive hands-on experience of working at an economic consultancy. You will contribute to cases in a variety of ways, working closely with senior staff to understand the issues that face the client, relating those issues to relevant economic theory, and supporting the analysis with solid and persuasive empirical evidence. Interns typically join us for 2 to 6 months during, in-between, or shortly after completing their economics degree(s).
