Qualifications

Caterpillar France, a subsidiary of the American group, has been established in Isère since 1961, with about 1,400 employees across its factories in Grenoble and Echirolles. The company designs and manufactures a variety of machinery, including tractors, loaders, and hydraulic excavators, with over 90% of products exported worldwide. Based in Grenoble, with occasional travel to Echirolles, you will work under the supervision of the Head of the HSE Department. As part of our continuous improvement approach for working conditions, we seek an ergonomist apprentice to contribute actively to the prevention of Musculoskeletal Disorders (MSDs). You will analyze workstations, identify risk factors, and implement practical ergonomic solutions, working closely with site ergonomists and operational teams to promote health, safety, and performance.

Key Tasks

• Identify, analyze, and assess occupational risks (physical, chemical, psychosocial, etc.).
• Propose preventive actions tailored to identified risks, considering operational constraints and ergonomic principles.
• Document best practices (manual handling, postures, load carrying, etc.) in a reference manual.
• Support and train support services in ergonomic assessment and analysis tools.
• Assist in deploying TMS Pro solutions.

Required Skills and Qualifications

You have completed a Bac+3 or Bac+4 level and are pursuing a Master’s degree in Engineering and Physical Activity Ergonomics at an accredited training center.

We are looking for candidates with knowledge of:

• Ergonomics principles
• Assessment tools (RULA, REBA, NIOSH, etc.)
• Office 365 suite
• Fluency in French and English (spoken and written)
• Strong communication skills
• Interest in 3D modeling (a plus)
