Job summary

Alstom in France invites an Engineering internship (Master's level) in Railway System Engineering focusing on alarm management. The role analyzes alarm definitions, HMIs, and presentation to operators.

You will work with Systems Engineering and ATS teams to design a simple, structured data model for alarms and help prototype an HMI alarm list adaptable to Alstom's urban products. Fluent in French and English (B2) is required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Analyze alarm definitions in alarm specifications and how they are presented to operators.
• Study alarm presentation mechanisms in HMI, including banners and various views across urban solutions.
• Define a simple, structured data model to represent alarm characteristics and lifecycle.
• Contribute to interfacing a prototype HMI to visualize alarms and their evolution.
• Identify improvements to make alarms more relevant and useful for operators.
