Description du poste
Overview

Job Description: Airbus UpNext is looking for a Quality Manager to support the implementation of the 5G NR-NTN (New Radio Non-Terrestrial-Network) system, aiming to test 5G communications via a payload in space. Our objective is to support Airbus strategic ambitions by exploring new technologies, incubating one 5G NR-NTN overall system, and identifying drivers and best technical solutions. We will adapt processes to tackle financial and programmatic constraints related to the demonstrator, which ends in June 2028. We will adopt unconventional, agile ways of working to respond to changes in this R&T challenging context. The Quality Manager will be experienced and operational, able to put things in perspective, focus on main risks, and propose actionable mitigations. The role includes preventing known problems in space segment development, storage/handling of flight units, payload integration, and in-flight operations, and managing anomalies raised during payload integration or at the subcontractor level. The role also supports the integration of an emulated 5G NR-NTN communication chain, defining quality rules in collaboration with mission software and IVV teams, with configuration management being key due to multiple software solutions tested on the testbed. The Quality Manager will work closely with the space segment, mission software and IVV teams and collaborate with industrial partners worldwide. This position is based in Toulouse, with a limited contract (CDI-C or Chantier) starting asap and linked to the demonstrator deliverable (estimated end of June 2028).

  • Manage anomalies at Airbus UpNext level, and support anomaly reviews at subcontractor level

  • Support IVV main reviews/check points, check that the objectives/success criteria of the tests are well defined, that the configuration of the documentation and the system tested is detailed, that the test results are well documented

  • Support day-to-day configuration management of the testbed (including mission software)

  • Preparation of demo operations, by analysing specific risks

Your Boarding Pass

What you bring:

  • Operational experience and knowledge in quality management in satellite integration and tests.

  • Operational experience and knowledge about main anomalies encountered during the development of space equipment.
