Joko is seeking an AI Software Engineer to own the development and continuous improvement of Joko AI — our AI shopping agent that guides users to ideal products, saving time by considering price, quality, reviews, and environmental impact.

You will work with our CTO and a small team of engineers at the intersection of applied research and production, focusing on architecture, evaluation, and scalable capabilities for a world-class shopping experience.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, including production systems.
• Experience owning ambitious projects from design to production.
• Fluent in English and strong communication.

Responsabilités

• Own the architecture of the AI agent system and evolve it with latest advancements.
• Design and run evaluation frameworks to measure performance and catch regressions.
• Expand tools and capabilities for Joko AI, including web search and catalog lookups.
• Ingest, standardize and enrich catalog data at scale for high-quality recommendations.
• Leverage personalization signals to improve user intent understanding and UX.
• Prototype and iterate features quickly with user feedback; collaborate with product teams.
• Stay updated on AI models and research, translating insights into production improvements.
• Fine-tune models to improve quality and reduce latency while controlling costs.
• Ensure runtime scalability to handle hundreds of thousands of daily users.
• Collaborate with Product to shape the future UX of AI-assisted shopping.
