Scaleway is seeking a senior leader to own the Internal AI scope within the IT organization. You will define the enterprise AI strategy, connect business needs with Engineering and Security, and promote Scaleway’s sovereign AI solutions internally.

You will lead governance, build an AI-ready IT environment, and recruit an Internal AI team in the coming years, working in a highly autonomous and cross-functional setting across Europe.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years in AI Engineering, AI/Data Consulting, Solution Architecture, or AI Leadership.
• Proven production delivery of AI solutions.
• Strong understanding of LLMs, RAG, AI agents, and threat governance.
• Experience with AI platforms like Dify, Dust, or similar tools.

Responsabilités

• Define and drive Scaleway’s enterprise AI strategy and roadmap.
• Identify high-impact AI use cases across the company.
• Lead deployment of an enterprise AI platform and AI-ready IT architecture.
• Define governance, security, and guardrails for AI at scale.
• Industrialize AI-assisted development and vibe coding processes.
• Drive AI FinOps balancing performance, cost, and sovereignty.
• Promote internal dogfooding of Scaleway AI products and models.
• Collaborate with Engineering, IT, Security, Data, and Business teams.

WHY WE NEED YOU ?

As Scaleway continues to grow, we are strengthening our IT & Information Systems (DSI) organization to define and scale our enterprise AI strategy.

Your mission will be to lead AI adoption across Scaleway, define the technical foundations required to make our internal IT environment AI-ready, and ensure AI initiatives are deployed in a secure, scalable, and cost-efficient way.

You will act as the central point of contact for enterprise AI initiatives, connecting business needs with Engineering, IT, Security, Data, and Infrastructure.

You will also play a key role in promoting Scaleway’s own sovereign cloud and AI solutions internally.

YOUR FUTURE TEAM

We work in a collaborative and international environment where the diversity of Scalers, combined with a strong culture of knowledge sharing, helps us bring ambitious projects to life.

You will initially own the Internal AI scope within the IT organization, reporting directly to our Director of IT, IS & GRC.

You will work closely with multiple teams across Scaleway, including:

• AI Tooling Engineering
• Security
• Infrastructure
• Data
• Business-side AI Toolers

The role will initially operate with a high level of autonomy, with the ambition to build and grow a dedicated Internal AI team from 2027 onwards.

YOUR DAILY ROUTINE

Tasks

• Define and drive Scaleway’s enterprise AI strategy and roadmap
• Identify and prioritize high-impact AI use cases across the company
• Lead the deployment of an enterprise AI platform and help evolve our IT environment toward an AI-ready architecture
• Define the governance, security, and Human-in-the-Loop guardrails required to deploy AI agents and automations safely at scale
• Industrialize AI-assisted development and vibe coding, from prototype to secure production
• Drive AI FinOps, balancing performance, cost, sovereignty, and third-party solutions
• Promote internal dogfooding of Scaleway infrastructure, AI products, and open-source models
• Work closely with Engineering, IT, Security, Data, and business teams to support AI adoption
• Build internal AI best practices, communities, and reusable standards
• Over time, recruit and build the Internal AI team

About You

HARDSKILLS

• 3–5+ years of experience in AI Engineering, AI/Data Consulting, Solution Architecture, Technical Leadership, or AI Product
• Proven experience delivering AI solutions in production
• Strong understanding of LLMs, RAG, AI agents, agentic workflows, and MCP
• Experience with AI platforms such as Dify, Dust, n8n, Open WebUI, or similar tools
• Good understanding of cloud infrastructure, APIs, AI inference, and GPU environments
• Strong foundations in software engineering, security, CI/CD, IAM, and AI governance
• Experience with AI-assisted development or vibe coding workflows is a plus

SOFT SKILLS

• Strong AI evangelist mindset with excellent communication skills
• Comfortable working across Business, IT, Engineering, Data, and Security
• Able to influence and drive initiatives in a highly cross-functional environment
• Pragmatic and able to balance innovation, security, governance, and cost
• Highly autonomous, curious, and comfortable in a fast-moving environment
• Strong leadership potential with the ability to build and grow a team
