Scaleway is expanding its AI Tooling team to design, build, and productionize GenAI applications and agentic workflows. You’ll work on AI-native products powered by LLMs and collaborate with IT and Inference teams to scale AI capabilities across the organization.

You will join a team of engineers delivering scalable GenAI features, with emphasis on production readiness, reliability, and measurable business impact. Hybrid work and international collaboration are core parts of the role.

Qualifications

• 1 to 3 years of experience in software engineering, AI engineering, or a related role.
• Strong foundations in Python backend development and software engineering.
• Hands‑on with LLMs, Generative AI, and/or agentic systems.
• Contributed to GenAI products in production with real users.
• Understand ML/Data Science concepts related to LLM-based apps.
• Familiar with LangChain or LlamaIndex.
• Development and deployment tools such as Docker, GitLab, and CI/CD pipelines.

WHY WE NEED YOU?

As our AI initiatives continue to scale, we are strengthening our AI Tooling team to build and expand AI-native products used across Scaleway and the Iliad Group.

Your mission will be to design, build, and bring to production GenAI applications and agentic workflows, combining strong software engineering practices with a solid understanding of LLM technologies.

You will help turn emerging AI capabilities into reliable, useful products with real users and measurable business impact.

YOUR FUTURE TEAM

We work in a collaborative environment where experimentation, knowledge sharing, and a strong builder mindset help us turn emerging AI technologies into production-ready products.

You will join the AI Tooling team, composed of 6 people: 1 Engineering Manager, 2 AI Engineers working on cross-functional initiatives, and 3 AI Tooling Engineers supporting specific business units.

The team develops and operates AI-native products such as JeanCloud, as well as GenAI and agentic solutions for teams including Sales, S&OP, and Customer Care.

You will work closely with other AI Engineers on shared projects and collaborate regularly with our IT and Inference teams to bring new capabilities into production.

YOUR DAILY ROUTINE

• Design, develop, and maintain AI-native applications powered by LLMs and agentic workflows
• Build robust and maintainable backend services in Python
• Maintain and improve existing GenAI products, including JeanCloud
• Design and deliver new AI-powered features and internal tools from experimentation to production
• Experiment with emerging LLM models, frameworks, and agentic patterns
• Translate user and business needs into relevant, production-ready product feature
• Contribute to technical architecture and product decisions within the team
• Collaborate directly with internal users and partner teams to understand their needs and iterate on solutions
• Monitor developments across the LLM / GenAI ecosystem and share relevant learnings with the team
• Apply software engineering best practices around testing, deployment, Docker, GitLab, and CI/CD

ABOUT YOU

HARDSKILLS:

• You have 1 to 3 years of experience in software engineering, AI engineering, or a related role
• Strong foundations in Python backend development and software engineering
• Already worked hands‑on with LLMs, Generative AI, and/or agentic systems
• Ideally, you have contributed toGenAI products used in production by real users, rather than exclusively research or proof‑of‑concept projects
• Understand key Machine Learning / Data Science concepts related to LLM-based applications
• Familiar with modern LLM frameworks such as LlamaIndex or LangChain
• Comfortable with development and deployment tools such as Docker, GitLab, and CI/CD pipelines

Excellent junior profiles with significant software engineering and GenAI internship experience may also be considered.
