Job summary

Sentior, Ltd. seeks two Senior AI Engineers to join a major retail transformation program near Paris.

You will design, develop, and integrate AI capabilities into a modern POS platform, focusing on agentic AI, automation of customer journeys, anomaly detection, and secure transactions. You’ll work on microservices and event-driven architecture, integrate with enterprise systems, and ensure reliability and performance of AI services in production.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Java development with Spring Boot.
• 2+ years building and integrating AI solutions, incl. autonomous/LLM agents.
• Experience delivering distributed systems with microservices, APIs and databases.
• Strong engineering practices across CI/CD, Git, DevOps, automated testing and SOLID principles.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and integrate AI capabilities into the new platform.

BUILD THE FUTURE OF RETAIL WITH AGENTIC AI - AI ENGINEER MISSION - 1 YEAR INITIAL - HYBRID WORKING MODEL\\*On behalf of one of my customers in the retail sector, I’m looking for 2 Senior AI Engineers with strong Java/Spring Boot expertise to join a major transformation program of its in-store point-of-sale platform. The project will replace the existing checkout system with a modern, scalable and secure platform supporting omnichannel retail and improving the experience for customers and store colleagues.You’ll design, develop and integrate AI capabilities into the new platform, including agentic AI, customer journey automation, anomaly detection and transaction security. The role also covers microservices and event-driven architecture, integration with enterprise systems, and ensuring AI services remain reliable and performant in production.We’re looking for:- 5+ years’ experience with Java and strong Spring Boot development.- 1-2+ years building and integrating AI solutions, ideally including autonomous/LLM agents.- Experience delivering robust, distributed systems using microservices, APIs and relational/document databases.- Strong engineering practices across CI/CD, Git, DevOps, automated testing and SOLID principles.Customer are based just outside of Paris, needing experts to be onsite at least 2 times per week.
