Mercor is partnering with a venture-backed AI lab and expanding its platform into new areas of pharmaceutical development. This hands-on preclinical R&D role blends wet-lab and translational experience with AI model training data decisions.

You will work directly with client teams, contribute to data curation standards, and engage in discussions to guide target/modality selection and risk assessment. Seniority ranges from IC to Director.

Qualifications

• Hands-on preclinical R&D experience at a company with in-house drug assets.
• Experience in a core R&D function: discovery biology, pharmacology, toxicology, or related fields.
• Hands-on experience with one or more drug modalities (e.g., small molecules, antibodies, biologics).
• 5+ years of relevant industry R&D experience.
• Experience taking a program through lead optimization or IND-enabling/preclinical development.
• Experience at mid-sized or emerging biotech (not top-20 pharma) is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Review technical materials and real-world R&D data in your area of expertise.
• Label, classify, and annotate scientific data and model outputs to improve performance.
• Provide expert perspective on key scientific and development decisions.
• Help define structure and quality standards for the dataset pipeline.
• Participate in expert discussions, interviews, and research engagements.
