Airbus Operations SAS is seeking university graduates to join a two-year Global Graduate development journey, designed to cultivate leadership and technical skills in a hands-on role within the Flight and Integration Test Centre.

Responsabilités

• Prepare and analyse flight dynamics and control tests within the Flight and Integration Test Centre.
• Collaborate with FT engineers, instrumentation and design teams on test campaigns.
• Guide growth into aircraft Handling Qualities through development pathways and tests.
• Support Flight Test Engineers and Pilots in development and certification tests (Simulators and Flight Tests).
• Contribute to defining flight domain safety, comfort and reliability in design.
• Elaborate test documentation and certification materials in coordination with offices.

What you will be doing :

Within the Flight and Integration Test Centre (IV), you will belong to the team responsible for preparing and analysing simulator tests and flight tests related to flight dynamics and flight control laws disciplines. We contribute not only to carry out a safe and efficient testing campaign but also to demonstrate the certification criteria of new concept developments, through real-time telemetry follow-up and deferred-time analysis.

This job involves a close collaboration with FT engineers, FT instrumentation and engineering design teams.

You will be on a development pathway to guide your growth into aircraft Handling Qualities and can expect to be involved in the following:

• 1V Test integration Center - Handling Qualities and Flight Control Laws Test Specialist in charge of preparing , following and analysing tests (simu and flight) linked to Nominal cases
• 1V Test integration Center - Multi-system Test specialist in charge of preparing, executing and analysing simulator tests linked to Handling Qualities Failure CAses
• 1V Test integration Center - development Flight Test Specialist Engineer (FTSE) in charge of supporting the Flight Test Engineers (FTE) and Pilots community and managing development and certification tests (Simulator and Flight Tests)
• 1YCG Handling Qualities Design Office in charge of defining flight domain where aircraft safety, comfort and reliability is guaranteed (definition of characteristic speeds, setting of angle of attack, sideslip domains, and procedure in case of failure cases)

Task & accountabilities :

• Prepare the Flight Test campaign, defining and validating on-board and real time (telemetry) visualization tools
• Follow-up the tests in real time, through the telemetry centre, providing the necessary support to the crew to ensure the validity and safety of the test
• Perform deferred time analyses, providing a synthetic feedback on the data validity and on the behaviour of the aircraft configuration tested, to the relevant design team (mainly handling qualities and flight control laws)
• Ensure preparation, including test readiness, and real time follow-up of simulator sessions
• Optimize analyses and delivery process of simulators and flight test data, taking benefit of tools that digital transformation
• Elaborate ATA 070 certifications documents in close collaboration with 1VX

Required skills :

• Educated to degree level in flight physics, aerodynamics or a related discipline.
• Use of initiative/proactivity, being flexible to adapt to an operational and reactive environment
• Positive mindset and team player attitude
• Strong learning capacity
• Strong entrepreneurial thinking, as well as awareness of deadlines, costs, and quality
• English : Advanced level, French is a plus.

The position is graded BV or below.
