Job summary

SAFRAN SEATS in France seeks a Development Project Leader for its Composites Center of Excellence in Saint Crépin Ibouvillers. You will lead cross-functional teams (Eng, Indus, Tooling, Methods) to meet quality, schedule and cost objectives of all development activities.

The role requires at least 8 years of experience in technical project management, a background in design and industrialization of composites for aeronautics, strong leadership, English proficiency, and the ability to manage

Qualifications

• Recognized experience in technical project management: build a schedule, maintain indicators, lead the team, make decisions.
• Technical background (design and industrialization) in the composite and aeronautics sector.
• Leadership and team-building capability.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Good oral and written communication in English is imperative.
• Rigor and stress resistance.
• Minimum 8 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Participates in the preparation of the tender response file (NRE, RC, NRC costing).
• Ensures input data is transmitted on time and at the expected quality level.
• Declines objectives to the various specialties of the team.
• Builds the macroscopic Development schedule and workload plan.
• Leads the development team (Eng, Indus, Tooling, Methods) through meetings, ensuring team C/C adequacy.
• Reports activity progress to management.
• Manages development risks.
• Ensures product/process balance to guarantee production performance and profitability.
• Works with the PM on changes and their impacts.
• Delivers a robust development dossier to operations for a successful start-up.
• Travel to CCE sites and Safran Seats France/GB locations is expected.
