Job summary

COLSA Corporation seeks Senior Acquisition Logisticians to support a USAF contract at multiple bases, including Wright Patterson AFB, OH and Tinker AFB, OK. You will oversee cradle-to-grave logistics planning integrating supply, maintenance, procurement and quality assurance to sustain fielded systems.

Responsibilities include developing PPSP/PPTP/TPP plans, performing life-cycle cost analyses, and delivering acquisition data analyses. U.S.

Qualifications

  • MA/MS degree with 12 years of experience, five in DoD.
  • BA/BS degree with 15 years of experience, five in DoD.
  • HS/GED with 20 years of directly related experience, eight in DoD.

Responsibilities

  • Assist cradle-to-grave logistics planning for weapon systems.
  • Coordinate supply, maintenance, procurement and QA across programs.
  • Develop PPSP, PPTP, and TPP plans for post-production support.
  • Perform life-cycle cost analyses and logistics readiness studies.
  • Provide acquisition data management and analysis support.
  • Ensure compliance with DoD and USAF policies and procedures.

Job description

COLSA Corporation is seeking candidates for Senior Acquisition Logisiticiansin support of a USAF contract.

Position openings may be available at Wright Patterson AFB, OH; Warner Robins, GA; and/or Tinker AFB, OK.

This position will provide support to the program in areas such as:

  • Assist with the planning, managing, and coordinating the total cradle-to-grave life cycle log i stics support for assigned weapon systems or subsystems, integrating separate functions of supply, maintenance, pro cu rement, and quality assurance into log i stics activities required to sustain the system fielding
  • Perform various tasks related to the planning, development, implementation and management of a comprehensive, affordable and effective systems support strategy
  • Provide assistance tosustainment teams through data analysis, acquisition management, pro cu rement, and other associated log i stics data of critical assets, insurance spares, tooling, and related parts and material.
  • Provide assistance to the development and maintenance of Post Production Support Plans (PPSP), Post Production Transition Plans (PPTP), and Transition to Post Production (TPP) and shall d evelop and exe cu te requirements in phased strategies for PPTP and TPP.
  • Apply knowledge and experience in acquisition log i stics philosophy, policies and procedures to Air Force systems, subsystems, and equipment pro cu rement activities, post award project/program management tasks, and acquisition programs throughout their life cycles.
  • Assist in planning, organizing, and managing critical aspects of the development, production, and/or deployment of capabilities utilizing DoD, USAF , and local log i stics policies, procedures, and functionalities, and financial data requirements of acquisition log i stics disciplines.
  • Coordinate all log i stics elements including but not limited to spares, S upport E quipment ( SE ) , training, facilities, technical data, and provisioning to ensure all integrated log i stics support requirements for the program are identified and tailored
  • Assists in developing integrated support requirements for system and equipment design; developing support requirements that are related to readiness objectives and design; conducting specialized analyses on total life cycle cost, log i stics supportability, and warranty; and providing technical assistance and consultant expertise
  • Assists in the performance of any related tasks that provide the capability to evaluate support alternatives, perform trade-off analyses between support concepts and between support, design, and operational concepts
  • Develops Life Cycle Cost Management ( LCCM ) and/or Design-To-Cost ( DTC ) program, perform operating and support cost analyses, and/or develop a probable cost estimate
  • Identifiesmilitary and civilian personnel requirements with the skills and grades needed to operate and support a weapon system and equipment over its lifetime at peacetime and wartime rates
  • Accomplish TDM and analyses, write reports, recommend actions, or perform any related tasks that provide log i sticians the capability to acquire, store and manage in a timely, efficient, cost-affordable manner, the recorded information needed to translate system and equipment design requirements into discrete engineering and log i stics considerations, and manage a TO / t echnical d ata l ibrary
  • Assist in i dentify requirements for flight manuals resulting from safety issues, aircraft modifications, different equipment configurations, operational requirements, etc

Required Experience

One of the following combinations of education/experience:

  • MA/MS degree, and twelve (12) years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, five (5) years of which must be in the DoD -OR-
  • BA/BS degree, and fifteen (15) years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, five (5) of which must be in the DoD -OR-
  • HSD/GED, twenty (20) years of directly related experience, eight (8) of which must be in the DoD.
  • U.S. Citizenship required. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Security clearance at the required level
