About the role

Trustpair is looking for an Accounting Lead to ensure the accuracy, compliance, and thorough documentation of financial data, delivering audit-ready reports across balance sheet and P&L accounts for our current group entities in France and the US.

As part of our Finance, Admin & Legal team, you'll consolidate and strengthen existing accounting processes and replicate them for any new legal entities joining the group.

You will work closely with internal teams and external partners to guarantee compliance and quality at every step.

This is a hybrid position with weekly presence required in our Paris office.

What you'll do :

Core Accounting Operations

  • Manage day-to-day accounting (AP, AR, bank reconciliations), ensuring accurate and timely data entry and payment matching
  • Review customer and supplier account balances regularly to ensure consistency and completeness

Monthly Closings

  • Lead the monthly closing process in coordination with the finance team, ensuring correct application of revenue recognition principles and accurate general ledger postings, including accruals, cut-offs, account analyses, and internal reconciliations
  • Prepare and formalize monthly P&L and balance sheet reviews within 8 days after month-end

Financial Statements & Tax compliance

  • Prepare semi-annual and annual financial statements in line with applicable accounting standards
  • Ensure compliance with fiscal and social obligations, including VAT / Sales Tax, payroll taxes, and local filings

Coordination & Audit

  • Liaise with local accounting firms across geographies and auditors for timely statutory accounts and audits
  • Coordinate the calculation and documentation of R&D tax credits (CII / CIR) with the Engineering team and ensure proper accounting of capitalized R&D expenses
  • Manage internal transactions and recharges in accordance with our transfer pricing policy

Process & Scale

  • Continuously strengthen and scale accounting processes, controls, and tools across entities to support our growth
  • Lead the setup and integration of new subsidiaries by implementing accounting processes aligned with group standards

Must-Haves :

  • Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 5+ years of experience, ideally starting in an accounting firm with some in-house experience (SaaS / Fintech a plus)
  • Fluent in French & English, both written and spoken
  • Strong knowledge of French accounting principles (US GAAP a plus)
  • Solid understanding of SaaS revenue recognition (subscriptions, deferred revenue, etc.)
  • Proven experience in preparing statutory annual financial statements and managing full monthly closings (P&L and balance sheet)
  • Strong command of French tax and compliance filings (e.g., VAT, CVAE, DAS-2); international exposure (especially US) is a plus
  • Proficient in Excel and Google Sheets
  • Startup-ready: flexible, hands-on, and adaptable to change
  • Problem-solver with a builder mindset; proactive in improving tools, workflows, and processes
