Airbus Operations SAS in Toulouse is seeking an experienced A400M Flight Management System (FMS) Design Work Package Leader to join the E2E Mission & Functions department. You will guide the FMS/AN design office in defining next-generation FMS standards and lead a multinational team across suppliers and interfaces.

The role demands a strong engineering background, 5+ years in system design, and fluency in English with French desirable.

Qualifications

• Background in Engineering or equivalent, specializing in aeronautics, embedded systems, or avionics.
• 5+ years in system design with a strong background in flight management/guidance & control, software/hardware specification, or flight physics/aircraft performance.
• Mastery of avionics systems engineering (preferably FMS), specification of cockpit multi-systems functions.
• Strong persuasion & influencing skills, decision-making ability, autonomy, proactive approach to strict timescales, and ability to drive the bigger picture within transnational teams.
• Negotiation level in English is mandatory; negotiation level in French is highly desirable.

Responsabilités

• Scoping and Requirements Definition: Liaise with internal customers and stakeholders to understand, analyze, and address development requests for the A400M FMS.
• System Design Leadership: Lead the definition activities and design processes for the next A400M Flight Management System standards.
• Supplier and Subcontractor Management: Manage and oversee a major multi-national supplier and various subcontractors involved in the Work Package.
• Transnational Coordination and Interfaces: Drive a wide network of multidisciplinary interfaces, including laboratory and flight test teams, aircraft programs, safety, certification, and airworthiness.
• Process Improvement and Innovation: Support the optimization of design processes, drive knowledge capitalization, and foster new ways of working within the design office.
