A leading outdoor sports company in Annecy is seeking a 3D Technical Textile Designer. This role entails designing technical garments, producing high-quality 3D visualizations, and requires mastery of Clo3D and other modeling tools. The ideal candidate will be fluent in English, knowledgeable about the performance sportstyle market, and have a keen eye for detail. This is a full-time permanent position based in France.

Qualifications

• Experience designing technical garments for sports or outdoor activities.
• Proficient in 3D garment pattern assembly and modeling.
• Strong understanding of 3D polygonal modeling and high-quality visualizations.

Responsabilités

• Design and model hardgoods components for apparel.

Your main missions :

• Mastery of 3D garment pattern assembly, based on existing patterns or the designer's technical drawings.
• Design and model hardgoods components (e.g., trims, accessories) with a strong understanding of 3D polygonal modeling.
• Produce high-quality 3D visualizations to communicate creative concepts and product designs throughout every stage of development.
• Research and develop realistic textures and materials for apparel and accessories using tools like Substance and Photoshop.
• Knowledge of prompt design and the use of artificial intelligence tools and techniques to enhance the design workflow.
• Stay updated on emerging 3D and AI technologies to keep Salomon at the forefront of design innovation.
• Organize and lead 3D training sessions for designers and pattern makers to enhance team capabilities.
• Collaborate with pattern makers to understand both traditional and digital pattern-making techniques, integrating them into the 3D process.

Qualifications

• Required Skills:
  • Knowledge in technical clothing
  • Sensitivity/affinity for color, material, and product finishes. We are looking for a 3D designer with an eye for detail and the art of enhancing a product through its finishes.
  • Knowledge of the outdoor, performance sportstyle market
  • Knowledge in 3D Art
• Foreign languages:Fluentin English,
• Computer skills/IT :
  • command of Microsoft Office
  • Modeling tools such as Clo3D
  • AI, prompt design
  • Blender (Cinema 4D, 3ds Max are a plus)
• Qualifications :
  • Innovation : Using the lastest tools and trends to elevate our offer and ourdesign processes
  • Communication : Abiility to offer 3D training to team mate
  • Collaboration : Ability to collaborate with various departments/profession (Designer, pattern make and product manager...)
