Job summary

Nordex Finland is seeking a hands-on technician to perform main component exchanges on wind turbines across the Nordic region, focusing on safe on-site execution, high-quality workmanship, and reliable problem-solving in challenging environments.

You will travel extensively, work at heights, and operate hydraulic and electric torque tools, mobile cranes, and specialist tooling while contributing to safety culture and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Mechanical, electrical or technical education.
• Experience working on wind turbines.
• Hands-on experience with main component exchanges.
• Experience with lifting operations, mobile cranes, and specialist tooling.
• Knowledge of hydraulic and electric torque tools.
• Strong commitment to health, safety, and quality standards.
• Comfortable working at heights and in challenging outdoor environments.
• Good computer skills and experience using digital tools and software.
• A valid EU driver's license.
• Willingness to travel extensively and work on-site, including periods away from home.

Responsibilities

• Perform and support main component exchanges on wind turbines.
• Conduct lifting operations and ensure safe execution on-site.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges during exchanges.
• Prepare, maintain, and improve specialized exchange tools and equipment.
• Contribute to the development of new procedures, tools, and best practices.
• Support planning, reporting, risk assessments, and continuous improvement activities.
• Promote a strong safety culture and deliver excellent quality standards.
