Job summary

Tate Europe is seeking a Warehouse Operative to support the production team and ensure safe, efficient warehouse operations. The role reports to the Warehouse Coordinator and involves picking, loading, and maintaining quality standards across the warehouse.

Qualifications

• Experience in loading or warehouse environment.

• NFQ Level 6 qualification or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Work safely at all times and report safety concerns.
• Care for own health and safety and others; follow emergency procedures.
• Perform general warehouse tasks as requested by loading team leader or manager.
• Safely operate MHE and Fork Lift Trucks.
• Follow SOPs for warehouse and loading areas.
• Ensure accurate picking for outbound shipments.
• Check incoming goods before goods receipt on SAP.
• Follow loading plans and daily loading schedule.
• Maintain clean and safe warehouse and back yard.
• Check loading lists before picking/loading.
• Use hand tools to cut pallets and ensure proper packing.
• Adhere to company policies and safety standards.
• Take on other reasonable duties as requested.

About the Role

The role of Warehouse Operative will work as part of the Production Team reporting to the Warehouse Coordinator. They will be responsible for providing support and ensuring the safe and efficient running of the Warehouse as required.

Key Responsibilities

• Work safely at all times and report any safety concerns as they arise.
• Take reasonable care for your own health and safety and that of others who may be affected by your acts or omissions, being aware of emergency procedures including the evacuation and fire precaution procedures.
• Conduct general warehouse tasks as requested by the loading Team Leader or Manager.
• Safe use of MHE (Mechanical Handling Equipment) and Fork Lift Trucks.
• Perform all duties in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures for the warehouse and loading areas.
• Ensuring accurate picking of items for outbound shipments
• Ensure all incoming goods are checked before goods receipt on SAP.
• Work under the guidance of the Loading team leader to adhere to loading plans. Follow the daily loading schedule and delivery plan.
• Cleaning of the warehouse and back yard maintaining a good standard of general housekeeping to ensure a clean and safe work environment.
• Understand and check loading lists effectively prior to picking and loading.
• Use hand tools to cut pallets and ensure effective packing of products to avoid any quality defects or damage.
• Always adhere to Company policies, Health and Safety standards and housekeeping routines.
• Any other reasonable duties as and when required and requested. The title of your job does not define or limit your employment.

Qualifications, Experience & Skills

• NFQ Level 6 qualification, Leaving Certificate, or equivalent
• Good level of English (spoken and written)

Experience

• Previous experience of working in a loading or warehouse environment.
