Job summary

NestAI, a European AI lab for defence, is building a simulation platform for unmanned ground vehicles. You will develop realistic vehicle physics in the simulation, aligning with real-world data to ensure fidelity before hardware.

Qualifications

• Deep experience with vehicle physics in a modern real-time engine (e.g., Unreal Engine 5).
• Hands-on modelling of tracked and/or wheeled vehicle dynamics from racing sims or vehicle simulators.
• Experience integrating simulated vehicle controls with real hardware or controller setups.
• Track record of shipping real, live products with long-term ownership mindset.
• Strong communication across teams and with vehicle tests teams.
• Experience working in large engineering organisations and scaling teams.
• Experience deploying real-time or simulation workloads to the cloud is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build and tune realistic vehicle physics for unmanned ground vehicles so simulation reflects real vehicle behaviour.
• Work on vehicle-terrain interactions for physical accuracy, beyond visual realism.
• Integrate new vehicles and controllers into the simulation as they become available.
• Bring UGVs into the same shared simulation environment as other unmanned platforms.
• Collaborate with teams running physical vehicle tests to validate and refine the simulation.
• Contribute to broader simulation platform to meet visual and physics fidelity requirements.
