Oulun yliopisto seeks two University Lecturers in University Pedagogy to join the Centre for Teaching Support and Development (OPE) on permanent contracts. The role combines university pedagogy teaching with support for teachers and degree programmes, aiming to strengthen staff pedagogical competence and to advance research-based teaching and development of teaching across the university.
Tasks include designing, implementing and developing introductory and other continuing education modules in university pedagogy, supporting teachers, teaching teams and degree programs in teaching, guidance, assessment and curriculum work, and contributing to the development of the OPE-centre's operations and networking in line with university strategy.

strong higher education and university pedagogy expertise, research-based and inclusive working approach, ability to foster community and impactful teaching development at university level. Requirements include a relevant doctoral degree, university-pedagogical studies, at least two years of higher education teaching and supervision experience, ability to provide high-quality research-based teaching and supervision of theses, strong university-pedagogy knowledge in training, support or development contexts, research-based and developmental mindset, excellent communication and collaboration skills, fluent Finnish and English (spoken and written) and proficient digital working skills.
teaching pedagogy studies, doctoral-level studies in university pedagogy or related areas, experience in planning and evaluating university pedagogy study modules, experience with degree programmes or teaching teams' pedagogical development, involvement in teaching research or evidence-based teaching development, curriculum development support experience, and expertise in pedagogical leadership, strategic teaching development, or problem-based learning.
permanent contract starting 1 January 2027 (or by agreement). OV06 pay grade with possibility of performance pay up to 50% of base pay. Typical salaries in comparable roles are 4350-4750 EUR/month. Six-month trial period.
