Lohjan kaupunki seeks a Technology Teacher for Mäntynummen Comprehensive School in Lohja on a fixed-term contract from 14 September 2026 to 31 July 2027. You will teach technology to grades 7–9 in a ~500-student school with strong team support and a developing community.

We are seeking a Technology Teacher for Mäntynummen Comprehensive School in Lohja on a fixed-term contract from 14.9.2026 to 31.7.2027. Your duties include teaching technology to grades 7–9. Mäntynummen Comprehensive School is a ~500-student school in Lohja. The school's main location is in Mäntynummi, in a scenic area with good transport connections. We currently operate in well-functioning temporary facilities in Mäntynummi and Lohja town centre in Rantapuisto and in Linna and are awaiting completion of a new multi-use building and school, expected in 2029. The teaching staff count is about 60. You will be assigned a mentor teacher to help you onboard and support you as a new member of our community. The school has a well-functioning student welfare team with which you will collaborate.

Qualifications are determined by the Decree on the Qualifications of Teaching Personnel (986/98). Please attach certificates showing qualifications to be checked at the interview stage. Certificates must show the completed degree and studies proving qualifications (e.g., Pedagogical studies 60 credits, multidisciplinary studies 60 credits, subject-teaching qualifications 60/120 credits).
Salary for those meeting the qualification is 3070.94–3294.02 €/month plus possible annual bonuses or other supplements, according to OVTES. Lohja basic education teachers receive a TVA compensation of 149.88 €/month. Other TVA compensations may apply when working at Lohja city.
The position follows a trial period of half of the service length. The selected must provide a health certificate from Keski-Uudenmaan Työterveys Oy, Lohja office, within one month after the start of employment, and a criminal background check as required by law (504/2002).
