Job description

A fixed-term position for a subject teacher in basic education at Haukiputaan School from 28.9.2026 to 5.6.2027. Subjects taught are mathematics, physics and chemistry.

Haukiputaan School is a comprehensive school located in Oulu, Finland. The school provides basic education for grades 1-9.

In addition to general classes, there are several small groups and the Jopo-classrooms in northern Oulu.

About 840 pupils study at the school and there are 134 staff members.

The school operates under the national curriculum and strives to offer high-quality, safe and student-centred teaching. We aim to promote pupils' holistic well-being, learning and growth into responsible members of society.

Before finalising the appointment, the successful candidate must present a criminal background check as required by the Act on Background Checks for Working with Children (504/2002), no later than 30 days after notification of the decision.

The position includes a trial period.
