Job summary

Seinäjoki City Education Services is seeking a temporary Special Class Teacher for Seinäjoki City Education Services, to start in autumn 2026 for a fixed-term period (41200021) from 7 September 2026 to 31 July 2027, or as agreed. The position is at Tanelinranta School.

The selected person’s core responsibility is to carry out teaching in a special class where there are ten elementary school pupils with various forms of learning support needs.

Qualifications

• Teaching staff qualifications as per Finnish Decree 986/1998.
• Ability to work flexibly and collaboratively with students and staff.
• Experience with learning-support reforms and methods.
• Versatile expertise in reforms and methods supporting learning.

The position is at Tanelinranta School.

The selected person’s core responsibility is to carry out teaching in a special class where there are ten elementary school pupils with various forms of learning support needs. The requirements for temporary positions include good collaboration and interaction skills, flexibility, responsibility and development-mindedness, and versatile expertise in reforms and methods supporting learning.

Requirements: Qualifications for teaching staff as per the Decree (14.12.1998/986).

Original certificates of qualifications will be requested if invited to an interview.

Before starting, the selected candidate must provide a health certificate when requested and a criminal record extract as required by law.

A five-month trial period applies to the position.

Preliminary interview date planned for 3 September 2026.
