Job summary

Bluefors in Helsinki, Finland is seeking a mid-level Supplier Quality & Development Engineer to support growth, operational excellence, risk management, and customer satisfaction. You will collaborate across Sourcing, Supply Chain, R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, Compliance, and Logistics to drive supplier quality excellence and continuous improvement.

The role emphasizes leading supplier assessments, development initiatives, and cross-functional projects with a strong lean and Six Sigma mindset,

Qualifications

Relevant technical degree required.
Experience in manufacturing, engineering, supplier quality, or supply base development.
Solid knowledge of quality methodologies, Lean, and Lean Six Sigma.
Experience in auditing, project management, technical documentation, and cross-functional collaboration.
Excellent English and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

Run day-to-day supplier improvement initiatives and development projects.
Contribute to continuous development of the Supplier Quality Management (SQM) function.
Lead supplier onboarding activities with Sourcing & Procurement (S&P) through supplier assessments.
Lead supplier risk assessments (via audits and other methods).
Lead supplier development projects.
Lead various component categories from SQM perspective as counterpart to S&P category management.
Lead supplier quality activities throughout the supplier lifecycle.
Monitor supplier performance using defined KPIs and metrics.
Report, inform and escalate potential risks and opportunities.
Contribute to the Supplier Risk Register maintenance.
