Job summary

VTT is seeking a Portfolio Lead to take holistic ownership of the Quantum Technologies portfolio and guide its strategic development. You will align research activities, commercial opportunities and VTT’s long-term ambitions, emphasising quantum hardware and chip-level technology development.

Working with Research Professors, business development professionals and project teams, you will strengthen portfolio impact, IP creation and the transfer of research outcomes into practical applications

Qualifications

Master’s degree or PhD in physics, electrical engineering, quantum technology or another relevant field.
Strong understanding of research, innovation and technology development environments.
Demonstrated ability to develop and manage strategic portfolios, programmes or research initiatives.
Deep understanding of quantum hardware technologies and chip-level development.

Responsibilities

Take holistic ownership of the Quantum Technologies portfolio and lead its strategic development.
Align research activities, commercial opportunities and long-term ambitions.
Lead IP and IPR planning at a strategic level and develop research infrastructure.
Prioritise technologies for technology transfer, market readiness or spin-off creation.
Collaborate with Business Development, Customer Operations and Launchpad teams to advance commercialisation.
