Job summary

NTU International is seeking a Non-Key Expert – Space Applications Expert, Satellite Navigation & Connectivity to support activities related to GNSS and space-based applications across Africa.

The candidate should have a Master’s degree in engineering or a related field, 8+ years in satellite navigation, and 4+ years on GNSS/connectivity applications, with knowledge of Galileo/EGNOS and IRIS² assets. Helsinki-based consultant role.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in engineering, telecommunications, aeronautics, geomatics or related field.
• Excellent command of English; knowledge of French and/or Portuguese is a plus.
• 8+ years of professional experience in satellite navigation, telecommunications, satellite connectivity or related fields.

Responsibilities

• Support activities related to satellite navigation, GNSS and augmentation systems.
• Contribute to development and uptake of space-based applications across Africa.
• Provide expertise on Galileo, EGNOS, IRIS² and related navigation initiatives.

Non-Key Expert – Space Applications Expert, Satellite Navigation & Connectivity

NTU International is preparing a proposal for the project “Support to the Africa-EU Space Partnership Programme – AESPP Boost.”

The programme aims to strengthen cooperation between Africa and the European Union in the space sector, supporting policy dialogue, institutional partnerships, knowledge exchange, innovation, private sector engagement and investment, while contributing to stronger and more sustainable African space ecosystems.

In this context, we are seeking a highly qualified Non-Key Expert – Space Applications Expert, Satellite Navigation & Connectivity to support activities related to satellite navigation, GNSS and augmentation systems, satellite connectivity and the development and uptake of space-based applications across Africa.

Minimum Qualifications and Skills:

• University degree at Master’s level in engineering, telecommunications, aeronautics, geomatics, or a related field.
• Excellent command of English.
• Working knowledge of French and/or Portuguese will be considered an asset.

Minimum General Professional Experience:

• Minimum 8 years of professional experience in satellite navigation, telecommunications, satellite connectivity and/or related applications.

Minimum Specific Professional Experience

• At least 4 years of professional experience working on satellite-navigation or connectivity applications, including GNSS and SBAS, aviation or maritime applications and/or satellite broadband.
• Working knowledge of Galileo and EGNOS, IRIS² and relevant African navigation and augmentation initiatives is an asset.
