Job summary

Danfoss in Lappeenranta, Finland, invites a Sourcing Project Manager to lead procurement projects within a matrix organization. You will work with global category and program managers to design and execute initiatives that meet quality and cost goals, with up to 25% travel abroad as needed.

Based at our flagship site, you’ll drive the procurement agenda, develop sourcing strategies, analyze markets, and optimize costs while collaborating with suppliers and internal teams across functions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, finance, supply chain, or related field.
• Experience in procurement/sourcing, preferably in manufacturing or industrial settings.
• Knowledge of cost drivers, market dynamics, and supplier relationships.
• E‑motor manufacturing background is a plus.
• Strong negotiation and contract management skills.

We now have an opportunity to recruit a Sourcing Project Manager to be based at our flagship site in Lappeenranta, Finland, to help play a key role in management of procurement projects as part of amatrix organization. You'll be working closely with global category managers and program managers to initiate, design and execute projects while meeting quality and cost goals.

This role will involve some international travel (up to circa 25%).

What You'll Be Doing

In this role, you'll be responsible for driving the procurement agenda in a matrix environment, working both cross- functionally and globally in close collaboration with suppliers and internal teams. In particular, you will be:

• Developing and execute project sourcing strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Conduct market analysis, cost benchmarking, and supplier capability assessments
• Identifying cost-saving opportunities and driving continuous cost optimization

• E‑motor manufacturing background is a plus.
• Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
