Job summary

Saab is seeking a Sourcing Engineer at our Tampere site to manage indirect procurement and services, supporting production, engineering, HR and facilities. You will drive supplier selection, competitive bidding and contract management to ensure cost-effective, high-quality services and goods.

You will collaborate with production and engineering teams, manage supplier performance and develop ongoing supplier relationships, while embracing a flexible hybrid work arrangement with on-site presence

Qualifications

University degree in Engineering, Economics, or Supply Chain Management (or equivalent).
Experience in strategic sourcing, procurement or supplier management.
Strong negotiation, communication and stakeholder-management skills.
Excellent written and spoken Finnish and English.
Experience analysing sourcing or supplier data using Excel or similar tools.

Responsibilities

Take commercial responsibility for assigned sourcing categories, including investment projects and operations.
Develop and manage the supplier portfolio, including performance, capability, capacity and risk.
Build long-term supplier relationships in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
Lead sourcing activities: RFQs, quotation evaluation, negotiations and supplier agreements.
Monitor market developments, pricing, risks and service-delivery performance.
Identify cost-efficiency opportunities and supply-risk mitigations.
