Job summary

Nokian Tyres is seeking an experienced Solution Owner, Data Platforms to drive end-to-end ownership, strategy and evolution of enterprise data platform solutions within our Global Platforms IT organization. The role emphasizes modernization to cloud-based platforms with a focus on Snowflake and Microsoft Fabric enabled analytics.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in data platform, analytics, or solution ownership roles.
• Strong understanding of modern data platforms, warehouses, lakehouses, and data integration.

Responsibilities

• Own the full lifecycle of the data platform solution, ensuring reliability, scalability, and continuous improvement.
• Define and maintain the platform roadmap aligned with business priorities and IT strategy.
• Lead the transition from legacy data warehouse solutions to modern cloud-based data platforms.
• Ensure platform performance, governance, security, compliance, and cost efficiency.
• Act as the primary IT counterpart for business stakeholders, translating needs into priorities and scope.
• Enable trusted data assets that support analytics, reporting, automation, and AI initiatives.
• Lead and facilitate the data governance forum with business data owners and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with internal teams, architects, product owners, and external vendors to strengthen delivery.
• Drive continuous improvement and innovation across data platform capabilities and services.
• Monitor technology trends and recommend improvements that increase business value.

We are looking for a Solution Owner, Data Platforms, to join our IT team.

As the Solution Owner, Data Platforms you will be responsible for the end-to-end ownership, strategy, and evolution of enterprise data platform solutions within the Global Platforms IT organization. The role drives the modernization of the data landscape from legacy solutions to modern cloud-based platforms, with strong emphasis on Snowflake and Microsoft Fabric enabled analytics and reporting.

You will work closely with business stakeholders, data owners, internal teams, and external partners. The Solution Owner ensures the platform evolves in a secure, scalable, and business-value -driven manner while enabling analytics, reporting, data governance, and future AI use cases through a trusted data foundation.

You will report to the Director, Global Platforms. The position can be based either in our Helsinki office or in our Nokia office.

Key responsibilities:

• Own the full lifecycle of the data platform solution, ensuring reliability, scalability, supportability, and continuous improvement.
• Define and maintain the platform roadmap aligned with business priorities, enterprise architecture principles, and IT strategy.
• Lead the transition from legacy data warehouse solutions to modern cloud-based data platforms.
• Ensure platform performance, governance, security, compliance, and cost efficiency.
• Act as the primary IT counterpart for business stakeholders, translating business needs into solution priorities, requirements, and scope.
• Enable trusted and reusable data assets that support analytics, reporting, automation, and future AI initiatives.
• Lead and facilitate the data governance forum together with business data owners and key stakeholders.
• Collaborate with internal development teams, architects, product owners, and external vendors to strengthen platform delivery and adoption.
• Drive continuous improvement and innovation across data platform capabilities and services.
• Monitor technology trends and recommend improvements that increase business value and operational efficiency.

What we expect from you:

• Proven experience in data platform, analytics, or solution ownership roles.
• Strong understanding of modern data platforms, including data warehouses, lakehouses, and data integration technologies.
• Experience with cloud-based data platforms and large-scale modernization initiatives.
• Experience with Snowflake, Microsoft Fabric, or comparable modern analytics platforms.
• Understanding of data analytics, reporting, data automation, and data governance practices.
• Knowledge of security, compliance, and governance requirements related to enterprise data platforms.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across business and IT organizations.
• Experience working with external vendors and service providers.
• Structured, proactive, and collaborative approach to problem solving and decision making.
