Job description

About Sine Engineering

Sine Engineering is a leading global company specializing in the development of advanced radio communication and navigation systems. We design and build mission‑critical infrastructure for the multi‑million‑drone era.

At Sine, you will work with cutting‑edge technologies tested in some of the world’s most challenging environments, with the opportunity to see your ideas evolve into an ecosystem that contributes to global safety and progress.

Silicon Methodology Engineer

We are looking for a Silicon Methodology Engineer to join our team building next‑generation Radio System‑on‑Chips (SoCs) from the ground up. You will be an integral part of developing design flows, tools, and processes for AI‑driven, agile silicon development.

We are hiring across experience levels, from engineers with a strong methodology foundation to senior contributors ready to shape a state‑of‑the‑art flow end‑to‑end. Multiple positions are open and will be filled on a rolling basis.

Responsibilities
  • Define, build, maintain, and evolve SoC design and implementation flows with engineering teams - from RTL through verification, physical design, and sign‑off.

  • Develop and integrate tooling, automation, AI/ML adoption, and CI/CD infrastructure to support agile silicon development practices.

  • Own the EDA toolchain, including evaluation, integration, version management, license optimization, and vendor coordination.

  • Define requirements for regression infrastructure and compute environments supporting design, verification, and physical implementation.

  • Drive metrics and observability across the silicon development process.

  • Stay up to date with industry trends in AI‑assisted EDA, agile hardware development, and methodology innovation, and bring relevant advancements into the team.

Skills & Experience
  • Background in silicon design, verification, or methodology engineering.

  • Solid understanding of the SoC development lifecycle: RTL, verification, synthesis, place‑and‑route, sign‑off, and the associated tools and methodologies.

  • Strong scripting and software skills (Python, Tcl, Perl, Bash) and experience building and maintaining engineering tooling.

  • Familiarity with version control systems (Git, SVN, IC Manage, or similar), CI/CD systems (Jenkins, GitLab CI, or equivalents), and modern software engineering practices applied to hardware.

  • Experience with EDA tools from at least one major vendor (Synopsys, Cadence, Siemens) and understanding of how they fit into the broader flow.

  • Strong debugging and problem‑solving skills, with a structured approach to flow and infrastructure challenges.

  • Eagerness to learn, take ownership, and grow with the team.

  • English proficiency at B1 level or higher.

Nice to Have
  • Hands‑on experience with AI‑assisted EDA tools, LLM‑based code/RTL generation, or ML‑driven verification techniques.

  • Practical understanding of AI/ML applied to silicon development - with the ability to evaluate where it adds real value.

  • Experience introducing agile or DevOps practices into silicon development.

  • Background in cloud‑based EDA, distributed compute, or large‑scale regression infrastructure.

  • Experience with formal verification, emulation, or FPGA prototyping flows.

  • Contributions to open‑source hardware, methodology publications, or relevant project portfolios.

  • Experience in defense or dual‑use systems.

What We Offer
Paid Time Off
  • 4+1 weeks of vacation from your first day.

Health & Wellness Package
  • Lunch benefit: daily allowance up to the tax‑free limit.

  • Sport & culture benefit: annual budget for gyms, sports, and cultural activities.

  • Wellbeing allowance: support for massage, mental health services, and other wellness needs.

  • Extended occupational healthcare: access to GPs, specialists, mental health support, and partial dental care.

  • Accident insurance (24/7): coverage during both work and personal time.

  • Business travel insurance.

  • Company phone + subscription.

  • Office perks: coffee, snacks, fruits, and more.

Work Model
  • Flexible working hours (core hours: 10:00–15:00).

  • No‑crunch policy - no systematic overtime; any overtime is compensated.

  • Meeting‑light culture with protected focus time.

Growth & Innovation
  • High‑end equipment (premium laptop, monitor, peripherals).

  • Annual lab & gadget budget for hardware, tools, books, and learning materials.

  • Hackathons and offsites focused on innovation.

Travel & Mobility
  • Full coverage of business travel expenses (tickets, accommodation, transportation).

  • Per diem according to maximum tax‑free Vero rates.
