Job summary

Meyer Turku Oy seeks skilled welders for the Turku shipyard. You will weld steel components and structures using approved methods, read technical drawings, follow WPS requirements, and uphold safety and quality standards on demanding projects.

Qualifications

• Experience welding in industry/shipbuilding or construction.
• Ability to read technical drawings and follow WPS.
• Ability to inspect welds and identify defects.
• Strong commitment to safety and quality.

Responsibilities

• Weld steel structures and components and prepare joints surfaces.
• Read technical drawings and welding symbols.
• Check welding parameters and follow WPS instructions.
• Perform visual inspections of own work and report defects.
• Grind, finish, and repair as needed.
• Cooperate with platers, supervisors and inspectors.
