Job summary

Nordea Bank Norge ASA is seeking a Senior UX Designer for a 9-month maternity leave cover starting December 2026. The role sits within Team Testdreiv, the Design Language and Design System team that supports Nordea's digital products across Helsinki, Copenhagen and Gdynia.

You will lead design system stewardship, advocate for a unified design language, and collaborate with developers to translate tokens into scalable components while shaping end-to-end design across complex workflows, including

• Proven track record leading UX/UI design initiatives.
• Experience building and scaling design systems.
• Strong collaboration with developers to translate tokens into code.

Responsibilities

• Design System Stewardship: maintain, update, and scale the design system across products.
• Community Liaison: bridge design and development to streamline integration.
• Design Advocacy: champion design language and best practices.
• End-to-End Design: deliver high-quality interaction, UX, and visual design for complex workflows.
• AI Tool Integration: leverage AI tools to optimize workflows.
