Job summary

GE Vernova’s FACTS solutions, including STATCOM and SVC systems, seek a Technical Owner for MV primary components in Tampere, Finland. This hands-on electrical engineering role focuses on MV/HV primary equipment design, substation primary engineering, and related grid engineering.

You will lead equipment specification, supplier RFQs, and technical reviews, collaborating with systems, mechanical, sourcing, and quality teams. Global project exposure and relocation support are available.

Qualifications

• Experience with MV/HV primary equipment design and substation engineering.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills in English.
• Ability to translate system requirements into equipment specs and RFQs.

Responsibilities

• Act as technical owner for MV primary components across tendering and project execution.
• Translate system and customer requirements into equipment specifications and supplier RFQs.
• Review supplier offers, drawings, calculations, and test documentation.
• Support equipment selection with focus on safety, compliance, reliability, cost, and lead time.
• Resolve technical issues across engineering, suppliers, testing, installation, and commissioning.
• Improve standard specifications and reusable engineering guidance for MV components.
