Job summary

Mehiläinen Hoivapalvelut is seeking a Senior System Specialist to join the Modern Workplace and Device Management team. You may focus on Microsoft 365 or Active Directory and Entra ID, with ownership of technical decisions and solutions used across a large enterprise.

The role emphasizes security, identity and hybrid work environments, with collaboration across security, infrastructure, cloud, and endpoint teams.

Qualifications

• Senior-level experience in Microsoft 365 and/or Active Directory & Microsoft Entra ID.
• Deep technical expertise in at least one area and a broad understanding of the Microsoft ecosystem.
• Experience designing, developing, administering, and securing enterprise Microsoft environments.
• Good understanding of identity, authentication, security, and modern security principles like Zero Trust and least privilege.
• Experience with PowerShell and automation.
• Ability to translate business and security requirements into sustainable technical solutions.
• Strong problem-solving and a solution-oriented approach.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Finnish and English (advantage).

Responsibilities

• Develop, administer, and secure our Microsoft 365 environment; take technical ownership of selected services.
• Contribute to architecture, lifecycle, development, and integration with identity and workplace services.
• Develop and own Active Directory and Entra ID environments, including GPO, hybrid identity, authentication, and Conditional Access.
• Create technical standards, best practices, and automation using PowerShell.
• Collaborate with security, infrastructure, cloud, application, and endpoint management teams; emphasize Intune and device management as supporting areas.

Senior System Specialist / Microsoft 365, Active Directory & Entra ID

We are looking for an experienced Senior System Specialist to join our Modern Workplace and Device Management team. In this role, your expertise can be focused on either Microsoft 365 or Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID, depending on your background and strengths. You do not need to be an expert in all these areas. We are looking for a senior professional with strong expertise in at least one of these domains and an interest in developing and securing our broader Microsoft workplace environment. You will have an opportunity to take technical ownership, influence our technology choices, and develop solutions used across a large enterprise environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Microsoft 365

You will develop, administer, and secure our Microsoft 365 environment and take technical ownership of selected M365 services. You will contribute to their architecture, lifecycle, development, and continuous improvement while ensuring that the environment remains secure, reliable, and well integrated with our identity and workplace services.

Active Directory & Entra ID

You will develop and take technical ownership of our Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID environments, including their architecture, security, lifecycle, and continuous improvement. Your responsibilities may include areas such as Group Policy, hybrid identity, authentication, Conditional Access, MFA, and directory services.

Automation & Collaboration

Regardless of your main area of expertise, you will develop technical solutions and PowerShell-based automation, define technical standards and best practices, and collaborate closely with security, infrastructure, cloud, application, and endpoint management teams. Microsoft Intune and device management are supporting areas rather than the primary focus of the role.

What We Expect from You:

• Strong senior-level experience in Microsoft 365 and/or Active Directory & Microsoft Entra ID
• Deep technical expertise in at least one of these areas and a good understanding of the broader Microsoft ecosystem
• Experience in designing, developing, administering, and securing enterprise Microsoft environments
• Good understanding of identity, authentication, security, and modern security principles such as Zero Trust and least privilege
• Experience with PowerShell and automation
• Ability to take technical ownership and translate business and security requirements into sustainable technical solutions
• Strong problem-solving skills and a solution-oriented approach
• Good collaboration and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with different technical teams and stakeholders
• Willingness to continuously develop your skills and learn new technologies
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Finnish and English considered an Advantage
• Experience with Microsoft Intune and endpoint management
• Experience working with hybrid Microsoft environments
• Relevant Microsoft certifications, such as Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate (SC-300)
• Other relevant certifications related to Microsoft 365, Microsoft Entra, Active Directory, Windows Server, Azure, or Microsoft Security
