Etteplan seeks a System Architect to define and drive the technical architecture of embedded product solutions across industrial, energy, ICT, defence and medical customers. This senior role merges electronics, mechanics and embedded software to deliver manufacturable and certifiable products and serves as the technical anchor for demanding engagements from concept to delivery.

The role requires 10+ years in embedded systems with strong hardware/software co-design, technical leadership

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in embedded systems development and system-level architecture responsibility.
• Proven track record architecting products integrating electronics, mechanics and embedded software.
• Experience in a technical leadership or principal engineer role in engineering consultancy or product company.
• Excellent communication with engineering teams and customer stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Define end-to-end system architecture, including requirements decomposition and interfaces across hardware, software and mechanics.
• Lead make/buy and platform-vs-custom decisions with architecture governance.
• Shape solution concepts with sales during scoping and proposals.
• Translate customer needs and business requirements into architectural solutions.
• Act as a trusted technical advisor in customer workshops and steering meetings.
• Coordinate across disciplines to ensure architectural integrity and mitigate risks.
• Support project managers and department heads with technical planning and design reviews; mentor engineers.
• Contribute to technology roadmaps and reusable platform strategies.
