Job summary

Hyperion Robotics is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer in Espoo, Finland. You will lead the structural design, CAD/Grasshopper modeling, and FEM analysis for 3D‑printed concrete elements, ensuring Eurocode compliance and rigorous documentation.

You will own engineering work streams, mentor junior staff, and collaborate with robotics, production, and sales teams to deliver cost‑effective, robust solutions for Finnish, UK, and future European projects.

Qualifications

• Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering.
• Extensive experience in structural design and independent senior-level work.
• Proficiency in GSA or equivalent FEM tools and CAD/Rhino/Grasshopper.
• Ability to produce construction drawings and signed reports with minimal supervision.
• Strong Eurocodes knowledge (EN 14991, EN 206) and geotechnical interactions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to explain technical decisions.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural design and analysis of prefab printed elements per Eurocodes.
• Author and validate calculation reports and documentation.
• Perform detailed structural calculations incl. load paths and soil-structure interactions.
• Update Hyperion’s structural product catalogue to standardise 3D‑printable elements.
• Own engineering work packages across R&D and client projects, optimizing concepts for cost and manufacturability.
• Collaborate with Sales for structural feasibility and cost assessments of proposals.
• Monitor lab testing and support audits with certification bodies.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to internal standards.
