Job summary

IQVIA in Turku, Finland, seeks a Senior Statistician to join our Discovery Analytics & AI team. You will develop advanced analytical solutions, automate workflows, and translate statistical methods into AI-enabled tools to accelerate scientific decision-making.

You will collaborate with statisticians, scientists, and software engineers, applying statistics to omics and biomedical datasets, and building scalable, reproducible analytics. Fluency in English is required.

Qualifications

• MSc or PhD in Statistics, Biostatistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or a related quantitative discipline.
• Strong programming expertise in R and/or Python.
• Experience applying statistical methodologies to biological or scientific datasets.
• Proven ability to develop reproducible and scalable analytical workflows.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to quickly learn and apply new technologies.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Fluent English, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with statisticians, scientists, data scientists, and software engineers to address translational research questions.
• Apply statistical methods to analyze complex biological datasets.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance reproducible analytical workflows using R and/or Python.
• Support AI-enabled analytical solutions, including AI agents and workflow automation tools.
• Contribute to translating analytical workflows into scalable AI-assisted applications.
• Integrate statistical methods and domain knowledge into modern AI environments.
• Develop reusable analytics components to improve efficiency and scalability.
• Support adoption of innovative technologies across discovery research.
• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders for successful delivery.
