Job summary

Columbia Road in Finland is looking for a Senior Software Consultant to shape customer journeys and solve complex challenges directly with clients. You will contribute across frontend, backend, and integrations in a high-impact, technology-agnostic role.

You’ll work with multidisciplinary teams, mentor others, and help develop our presence in Jyväskylä while collaborating with Helsinki and Tampere colleagues. This role offers autonomy, learning opportunities, and a flat, community-led culture.

Qualifications

• Broad experience in building web services.
• Understanding of the entire web development process.
• Familiarity with frontend and backend development.
• Languages include JavaScript, React, Angular, Vue.js, Scala, Go, Python, Java, or PHP.
• Great communication skills, analytical mindset and problem-solving.
• Past experience in consulting or digital commerce is valuable.
• Languages: professional proficiency in Finnish and English.

• Be a trusted advisor to stakeholders, helping clients create better outcomes through software.

The Job & What You’d Be Working On

As a senior software consultant at Columbia Road, you will be working in a high-impact role at the core of our clients’ businesses:

• You’ll be a trusted advisor to important stakeholders, helping our clients create better and smarter business through software
• As a hands‑on consultant, you’ll design and implement the tech needed to drive business results forward. This means you’ll code, build storefronts, and work with APIs and integrations.
• You’re technology agnostic, choosing the tools based on the problem at hand. Your contribution will have a significant effect on the client’s success.
• You’ll often work in multidisciplinary teams with other Roadies and client stakeholders. As a senior software consultant, you can expect to have a responsible role in the technical choices and implementation of the project.
• Depending on your interest, you can contribute to and develop the community via eg. mentoring, recruitment, DEIB work or competence development. You’ll also have opportunities to collaborate with our business and sales functions to draft sales proposals and spot new opportunities in the market.

Compensation And Benefits

Salaries at Columbia Road are always based on your experience and skillset and we are open to hire multiple seniority levels for this role. You can expect the monthly salary to land between 4500-6000€ (Senior Consultant) or 6000-8000€ (Managing Consultant) depending on your level of seniority.
