Job summary

Unikie in Helsinki is seeking a Senior Robotics Simulation Engineer to advance robotics simulation as a practical part of software development and testing. You will work on an existing ROS 2 and Gazebo environment, turning simulation scenarios into repeatable tests with clear outcomes and evidence.

You will collaborate with software engineers on automation, test execution and reporting, with potential expansion to NVIDIA Isaac Sim and Omniverse.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with ROS 2 and Gazebo in a development or testing context.
• Experience programming in C++ or Python for robotics applications.
• Proficient with Linux environments and command-line tools.
• Strong ability to communicate in English and collaborate across teams.

Responsibilities

• Run, debug and extend an existing ROS 2/Gazebo simulation.
• Develop and validate test scenarios with measurable outcomes.
• Integrate autonomy and control software with simulated vehicles and sensors.
• Make scenarios reproducible for automated execution and testing.
