Job Title: Senior Omniverse / USD Simulation Architect
We are looking for Senior Omniverse / USD Simulation Architectto lead the technical design and implementation of a next‑generation digital twin simulation environment for a major industrial client. This hands‑on architect role sits at the intersection ofreal‑time 3D,robotics simulation, andindustrial automation, directly influencing how physical machines are tested and developed in a virtual environment.
You will serve as the primaryNVIDIA‑stack expert, owning the USD architecture, physics and motion systems, and all key integration interfaces connecting external systems and data flows to the digital twin.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement a structured, layeredOpenUSD scene architecturesuitable for industrial‑scale simulation and long‑term extensibility.
- Build realisticmotion and physics systems, including articulations, constraints, and mechanically accurate behavior driven by real control signals.
- Develop performance‑critical simulation components within theNVIDIA Omniverse / Isaac Simecosystem.
- Ensure clean and robust integration with external systems: data feeds, control interfaces, sensor pipelines, and automation logic.
- Extend and customizeOmniverse Kitapplications in Python to automate and optimize simulation workflows.
- Lead architectural decision‑making and transfer knowledge to ensure the client’s team can maintain and evolve the environment independently.
Required Skills
Required Qualifications
- 2+ yearshands‑on experience with NVIDIA Omniverse (Kit SDK, USD pipelines, or Isaac Sim).
- Deep understanding ofOpenUSD scene organization: composition, layering, referencing, variants, scalable scene graphs.
- Demonstrated experience inreal‑time 3D or robotics simulation, including articulations, constraints, and mechanical motion.
- 5+ yearsof experience in simulation, robotics, real‑time 3D, or related software engineering domains.
- Understanding ofGPU‑accelerated simulation and renderingperformance considerations.
- Experience designing systems that interface withlive data flows or real‑time control.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with synthetic sensor simulation (camera, LiDAR, GNSS, depth).
- Background in coordinating simulation with external applications or feedback loops.
- Exposure to heavy machinery, industrial automation, or robotics simulation.
- Architect Mindset– You think in systems: how USD layers interact, how physics propagates, how external signals map into virtual behavior.
- Ownership– You take responsibility for the full simulation stack, end‑to‑end.
- Knowledge Sharing– You believe great delivery makes the client more capable, not more dependent.
- Pragmatism– You know when to aim for physically perfect and when “good enough for the use case” is the smarter choice.
