Job summary

V7 Recruitment Ltd offers a Senior Quantity Surveyor role on a large-scale data centre project spanning Finland and Norway. You will own commercial strategy, lead procurement and negotiations, and manage costs and cashflow with support for relocation.

The role requires extensive experience in cost management, NEC/JCT contracts, and stakeholder liaison, with opportunities for professional development and international exposure.

Qualifications

• Degree qualification in Quantity Surveying or related discipline.
• Significant experience as a Quantity Surveyor on large-scale construction projects.
• Strong experience in cost management, procurement, contracts and change control.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of the commercial strategy and financial performance of the project.
• Lead procurement, subcontractor selection, negotiations and final accounts.
• Manage project costs, valuations, forecasting and cashflow.
• Oversee variations, change control, claims and commercial entitlement.
• Manage commercial risks and opportunities throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure contractual compliance and protect the company’s commercial position.
• Provide accurate commercial reporting to senior management.
• Support and mentor junior Quantity Surveyors and commercial staff.
• Build strong relationships with clients, consultants and subcontractors.

Senior Quantity Surveyor | Data Centre Construction

V7 Recruitment are working with a leading construction and data centre delivery specialist to recruit an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their project delivery team in Vaasa, Finland andKristiansand, Norway.

This is an excellent opportunity to take a senior commercial role on a large-scale, technically complex data centre project. You will take ownership of the commercial and contractual management of the project, working closely with the Contracts Manager, Project Manager and wider delivery team.

The Role

What We're Looking For

• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
• Significant experience as a Quantity Surveyor on large-scale construction projects.
• Strong experience across cost management, procurement, contracts and change control.
• Experience delivering complex design and build projects and high-value contracts.
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts, ideally including NEC and JCT.
• Data centre, mission-critical or other technically complex project experience would be highly advantageous.
• Strong commercial awareness, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• Proven experience supporting and developing junior commercial staff.
• Chartered membership of RICS, CIOB or equivalent would be advantageous.
