Job summary

Metso is seeking a Senior Project Planner to join the MINPS Estimation and Scheduling team in Espoo. You will plan and coordinate engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning activities for large capital expenditure projects, ensuring timely, high-quality delivery.

You will report to the Head of Project Planning in Espoo with a hybrid working model. You will join a team focused on scheduling for international mining, metals and industrial capital projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or higher in engineering or equivalent.
• Strong experience in large capital expenditure projects.
• Proficiency in project planning tools Primavera P6 and MS Project; advanced Excel skills.
• Understanding of contract terms in plant delivery projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Level 1–4 project schedules from concept to commissioning for medium to large capital expenditure projects.
• Apply planning procedures and gather input from project disciplines to establish baselines.
• Perform quantity and resource loading, ensuring alignment with scope and contractual commitments.
• Update schedules weekly/monthly, prepare reports and analyze deviations to propose corrective actions.
• Support change notifications by assessing schedule impacts and contributing to re-baselining activities.
• Participate in project meetings and help improve planning procedures and systems.
