Senior Electrical power system´s Engineer– Electrical CoE Discipline

About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled Engineer for the Electrical Center of Excellence (CoE) discipline to join our Plant Engineering unit. This pivotal role involves overseeing technical project management and engineering activities within the Electrical disciplines power system area . As a power system Engineer, you will collaborate with colleagues and customers globally, contributing to exciting project deliveries across various industries
Key Responsibilities
The candidate will lead and execute studies in the following areas:
- Lead dynamic/transient simulation studies using PSCAD, DIgSILENT PowerFactory and PSS/E for grid-connection and compliance projects.
- Own end-to-end delivery of Grid code compliance studies including model build, validation.
- Develop and maintain user-defined dynamic models (generators, converters, BESS, HVDC/FACTS) to client and grid-operator specification.
- Support black-start, islanding, and power quality/harmonics studies for power plant and industrial clients .
- Act as technical point of contact for client stakeholders on dynamic simulation scope, findings, and compliance submissions.
- Review and validate models and reports produced by India-based PSS engineers; enforce technical quality standards across the distributed team.
- Contribute to internal model library and template development to improve modelling consistency and delivery speed.
- Support proposal and bid technical input for dynamic simulation scope on new client RFQs.
- Mentor and upskill junior engineers on dynamic simulation tools, grid codes, and modelling best practice.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s/Master’s in Electrical Engineering (Power Systems specialization preferred).
- Fluent in spoken and written English , Finnish or Swedish is an added advantage.

- Project Management skills is seen as an advantage
- Experience: 5+ years in power system studies and modeling.
- Technical Expertise:
- Proficiency in PSSE,PSCAD.DIgSILENT PowerFactory, ETAP
- Strong programming skills in MATLAB and/or Python for automation and custom analysis is added advantage
- Knowledge Areas:
- Transmission & distribution system planning.
- Renewable integration and grid compliance.
- Protection systems and coordination.
- Power quality and stability analysis.
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
