Job summary

Enersense Engineering in Lohja, Finland, seeks an experienced Senior Planning Engineer to own project planning and scheduling for a large data centre project. You will develop master schedules, forecast progress, analyse critical paths, and coordinate with contractors and stakeholders to keep the project on track.

You will drive baseline development, updates and reporting, monitor resource allocation, and propose recovery actions where needed—helping ensure delivery within scope and timelines

Qualifications

  • Solid experience in project planning, scheduling or project controls, preferably in large-scale construction, industrial or data centre projects.
  • Strong experience with Primavera P6.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify trends, risks and deviations from plan.
  • Experience in progress measurement, schedule analysis and contractor schedule management.
  • Ability to develop and analyse critical paths and recommend recovery measures.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder coordination skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a structured approach to planning and reporting.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary project team.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage project schedules, including Level I, II and III schedules and the overall master schedule.
  • Support baseline development, schedule updates, progress measurement and weekly/monthly reporting.
  • Coordinate schedules and progress information from multiple contractors and integrate them into the overall project schedule.
  • Monitor and forecast project progress, identify potential delays and recommend corrective actions.
  • Analyse critical paths and develop alternative scheduling strategies to support successful project execution.
  • Develop and maintain plan-versus-actual progress curves, histograms and other progress reports.
  • Monitor resource allocation and provide recommendations to maintain planned progress.
  • Coordinate key dates, interfaces and planning activities across project teams and contractors.
  • Collect and analyse progress data, actual dates and work-hour information.
  • Contribute to contractor progress reviews and schedule analysis.
  • Prepare and issue updated project schedules, dashboards and narrative reports.

Job description

Enersense Engineering is currently looking for experienced Senior Planning Engineers to join our client’s data centre project in Lohja, Finland. This is a great opportunity for a planning professional who enjoys working in a dynamic project environment, coordinating complex schedules and ensuring projects stay on track. Work will start in the beginning of November 2026.

In this role, you will take ownership of project planning and scheduling, with a strong focus on schedule development, progress forecasting, critical path analysis and recovery planning. You will work closely with the Planning Lead and key project stakeholders to identify risks, optimise project performance and ensure successful project execution. This is an excellent opportunity to take a key role in a large-scale data centre project and contribute to its successful delivery.
